Primitive Hand Made Open Wood Fire Pot with a lot of built up black coating on the outside from use. It looks like someone ground or turned the inside to remove the black build up and show the reddish bronze beauty of the metal. Hand made cast pan with applied handles. Great bronze patina with aged black on the ourside with a younger aged bronze patina on the inside. Lots of color and textural interest. See the photos. MARKINGS: Unmarked. See the photos. AGE: Appears to be circa mid 1800s, but it could be older. ORIGIN: Unknown. This antique primitive came from the Santa Fe estate of a US Consulate world traveler and could be from almost anywhere. DIMENSIONS: Approx. 6.5" Diameter X 7.25" Wide Handle to Handle X 2.25” Tall not counting the handles, but counting the feet. Weighs about 1.7 pounds.
